The story opens with Francine comforting Julie, whose husband Craig, a co-worker and friend of Stan’s, has been missing for 3 weeks. While Julie is talking to Francine, Francine hears that Craig and Julie share things. Francine pushes Stan to open up to her emotionally, with the help of Roger, roleplaying as a psychologist, otherwise they will have to pay a real psychologist. Eventually, are a few aggravating moments, Roger gets Stan to open up to Francine and shares with her every little thing. But she gets more than she bargained for when he tells her that he killed Craig on CIA orders, having been designated a blabber mouth. Francine then doesn’t want to hear anything from Stan again. She later discovers that he had befriended Julie. Fearing that he might blab about the killing to her, Francine tries to break up their friendship by arranging for them to meet by a park fountain, knowing of Stan’s irrational fear of it and when he beheaded a duck in fear. But when she arrives, Julie had taught Stan to conquer his fear.
