The only reason that the writers never gave us all the answers to the island is that they must have secret plans for
“Lost The Movie” – Jack never died: he only passed out and was later rescued by Ben and Hurley. Sun and Jin never died and were washed up on the 2nd Island. Savid had already died in a previous episode so could not have been killed in the Sub explosion. Flocke the smoke monster’s powers were reinstated when the light came back on. The end sequence of lost was clearly 40 or 50 years in the future so there is alot of years of untold story where the answers and secrets of the island could still be discovered.
