The Botwins and Doug have made it to Montana. Andy criticizes Nancy for relocating to Seattle rather than falling “off-the-grid.” She initially agrees to allow Andy to lead them. However, she quickly decides to take a break from running and treat the family to an afternoon at a local carnival. New connections are formed among the family. Shane makes Nancy see the similarities between them; they also ride on a rollercoaster in remembrance of Judah. Doug babysits Stevie. After smoking a joint, Andy and Silas enter themselves in a butter sculpture contest to win a luxury class RV. Initially believing the contest is to make a sculpture out of butter, they are surprised to learn they will be eating a butter sculpture. Silas wins the contest, but must leave the RV behind in order to remain anonymous. The FBI has traced Nancy to Seattle and interviews Cesar.
